Tuzansko Zdrelo (Tuza Gorge) is situated within the boundaries of the Yuzen Dzendem biospheric reserve. This gorge is extremely picturesque, and the slopes falling down on both sides of the river, form inaccessible abysses with a depth of hundreds of miles. The most beautiful Bulgarian waterfalls are located around the gorge – Kademliiskoto Praskalo (Lucky Sprinkle) with a height of 74 meters, Babskoto (Granny's Sprinkle) – 55 meters, Penchovskoto Praskalo (Pencho's Sprinkle) – 53 meters, and Tuzanskoto Praskalo (Tuza Sprinkle) – over 60 meters. They are high-watered all year round, and the first two are easily accessible. The Tuza Gorge is covered with broad-leaved forests, consisting of beech, oak and yoke-elm. In spite of the small territory, the gorge is home for 8-10 bears, deer, does and wild goats. The most intriguing flying animals are the birds of prey, and mostly the imperial eagles. There are several majestic rock towers on the unreachable slopes, like Koziata Stena (Goat Wall) and Paunov Kamak (Peacock Stone). There was once an ancient fortress on the Peacock Stone, with engraves rooms that can still be seen today.
