Syutkya is the second highest peak in the Rhodopes. The beautiful and hidden valleys of the rivers Lepenitsa, Batalach, Telidere, Ribna Reka (Fish River), Cherno Dere (Black Gully), Suyusuza and Semiza lay at its foot. The broadest coniferous forests in Bulgaria grow there, with very well preserved populations of red deer and wood-grouse. The view from the top is scenic, revealing the whole mountain. The region is characterized by huge plain meadows, which were once used for pastures by the Mohammedans who inhabited these places.
