There are numerous fantastic stone formations in the Rhodopean forests. They resemble gigantic mushrooms, human silhouettes or animals. Many of these rock phenomena reach enormous sizes, and have been worshipped as sacred places since the time of the ancient Thracians. Here we have presented to you a small part of these formations, and they have all been included in our routes.
