The St Panteleimon Prisovski Monastery was founded as a family monastery in 1870. There is another small monastery a few kilometers away - St Archangel Michael. It was founded during the Second Bulgarian State, and after that destroyed several times. It was renewed in 1858, and now it is working as an institution for mental illnesses.
