The St Konstantin and Elena Ludzane Monastery, founded in the 13th century, is situated at the foot of the fortress. It is surrounded by a big stone wall, and its architecture is totally different from that of the other Rhodopean monasteries.
The Ateren arch bridge is located near the monastery. It was built during the Middle Ages, but the exact date is still unknown. The bridge was used by the inhabitants of the Rogozovo hamlet, just below Lyutitsa. The hamlet is now uninhabited and most of the houses have fallen down
