The only cromlech, discovered in Bulgaria , is in the Eastern Rhodopes . It was built in the 7th century BC and consists of 12 stones, stuck into the ground, with a height of about 140 cm. The diameter of the equipment is 12 meters. It used to function until the Middle Ages, most probably as a sanctuary.
