Kosovo
There is a place in the Rhodopi Mountains where time has stopped, a place forgotten by everyone, a place where everything can speak. This place is Kosovo. It is situated in a lovely, sheltered valley to the south of the Backovo Monastery. The houses here seem to have been scattered on three opposite hills. There are 63 buildings, announced to be architectural monuments of culture. Each of them is original, and if you enter any of these houses and stay inside for a while, you will feel every object telling you about past times. Each house has a century-long history, each house has brought up several generations of mountain people, each house keeps a piece of the fate of every person ever born in it. But even if you only walk along the narrow, cobbled streets, you will be able to feel some of this unusual atmosphere, because Kosovo is genuine, authentic and extraordinary.
