The Assumption Monastery is located in the Arbanasi Architectural Reserve. It was founded during the 13th century, but after that it was deserted. The monastery was renewed in 1680, and ruined by kurdjali afterwards. The church is rich in ornaments and decorations, it keeps the miraculous icon of Virgin Mary Troeruchitsa (Three-handed).

The Arbanasi Monastery 'St. Nikolay Chudotvorets" (Wonder Worker), was founded during the Second Bulgarian State. It was destroyed by the Turks several times, and restored afterwards. It attracts interest with its well-preserved old icons and decorations. It is a working girls' monastery nowadays.
